Finally with the encouragement of Jim & Mary, we cruised to Barkley Sound on the Omega, on the west side of Vancouver Island. We headed out the Straits of Juan de Fuca into the Pacific Ocean and north to Barkley Sound for almost 4 weeks.

We enjoyed fun times salmon fishing with Jim before Mary arrived & then explored & fished the islands with Jim and Mary. Fun times were had by all. Eagles, salmon & bottom fishing, fishing for crabs & prawns & just enjoying the beauty of Barkley Sound. What an adventure.

On our return trip from Barkley Sound, we stopped over in Sooke Harbour and caught a bus to Victoria. What an enjoyable LONG ride. We had to change buses due to mechanical problems and neither John or Daleen looked up how long the bus ride was to Victoria. But is was great and we would do it again..... We do love Victoria, British Columbia
